The Parisian metro was first opened in the 1900’s and now has 16 lines and more than 300 stations, connecting every neighborhood of the city and the nearest suburbs. The RATP network is accessible 7 days a week, all year long.

Opening and working hours of the Parisian metro:
Departure of first train: around 5 :30 am
Arrival of last train at the terminus: around 1:15 am
On Fridays, Saturdays, and days before holidays, the Parisian metro is open one hour longer: the last train arrives at its terminus around 2:15 am. On December 31 st (New Year’s Eve) and on June 21 st (Fête de la musique music festival), certain lines stay open to traffic all night long.

The “ticket+” – Single-use ticket
The “ticket+” is valid for one-time use. It allows you to travel on all metro lines for one and a half hours without leaving the underground network. It allows you to travel in the first and second zones which include the city of Paris (not valid to get to the airport, Château de Versailles, or Disneyland for instance). The ticket does not allow correspondence with busses or trams, but can be used in RER stations located inside Paris.
A “ticket+” costs 1.70€. It can be purchased at all metro stations or in a Parisian “tabac.” Look for the red diamond sign.
Pack of 10 tickets
You can save 30% by purchasing 10 tickets at a time. A pack casts 12 euros for adults and 6 euros at the reduced price for children from 4 to 10 years old. It can be purchased at all metro stations or in a Parisian “tabac.”
The visitor’s pass – Ticket valid for one or more days
The Visitor’s Pass allows you to travel for one, two, three, or five consecutive days unlimitedly. It is valid for travel inside Paris, zones 1 and 2 (not valid to get to the airport, Château de Versailles, or Disneyland for instance).
The price of a one-day pass: 9.30€ per adult/ 4.65€ per child from 4 to 11 years old
The price of a two-day pass: 15.20€ per adult/ 7.60€ per child from 4 to 11 years old
The price of a three-day pass: 20.70€ per adult/ 10.35 per child from 4 to 11 years old
The price of a five-day pass: 29.90€ per adult/ 14.95 per child from 4 to 11 years old
The Visitor’s Pas scan be purchased at all metro stations. It can also be reserved on the Atypic Tourism website and delivered to your hotel (2 euros extra per pass). Offer available when you reserve a complete stay.
Navigo – Ticket in the form of an electronic pass valid for a week or a month at a time
The Navigo Pass allows you to travel unlimitedly for one week (from Monday morning to Sunday night) or for one whole month (from the 1st to the 31st). It is valid for all travel inside Paris, zones 1 and 2 (not valid to get to the airport, Château de Versailles, or Disneyland for instance).
The price of a one-week pass: 18.35€
The price of a one-month pass: 60.40€
